The center hinge on the black composite frame raises and lowers to allow the 2 sets of interchangeable lenses to be easily swapped, and the spare lenses are stored in the felt pouch inside the hard black Carrera Porsche Design case which is included. It's a great look in aviator sunglasses for men or stylish oversized sunglasses for women, and the 2 sets of lenses - brown gradient and gray - let you alter colors to make a fashion statement or to adapt to changing light and weather conditions. Carrera Porsche Design 5621 sunglasses were the first in the world to use a new advanced type of plastic called optyl, optically superior to any other plastic and ushering in the era of ever larger sunglasses which were not practical with glass lenses. The black matte frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.75" x 2.25" at the widest points. The lenses are marked Porsche Design along with the PD logo, and the inside of one ear stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera along with the U.S. patent number while the other stem is marked with the serial number, Made in Austria, and 5621 96 135.
