Persol 714 793 Folding Yellow Tortoise

Shell Sunglasses

Amazing Persol 714 793 folding sunglasses are one of the most classic and sought after styles Persol ever made. Steve McQueen turned Persol 714 tortoise shell folding sunglasses into a pop culture icon by wearing them throughout his life and on screen in movies such as The Thomas Crown Affair. Hand made in Italy, Persol 714 sunglasses fold in half via a horizontal hinge on top of the nose bridge and fold vertically down via hinges halfway down each of the two ear stems. Persol 714 sunglasses are all stylish, but in our view no style of Persol 714 has more class than the yellow tortoise shell of these Persol 714 793/31 sunglasses. The sunglasses are marked on one ear stem Persol Hand Made in Italy CE and on the other ear stem 714 793/31 54 [] 21 140 3N. Persol lenses are made of tempered glass offering 100% UV protection and superb visual acuity, and they have the distinctive Persol etching of authenticity on the lenses. When opened, the frame measures approximately 5.5" making them a good unisex style and size, and each glass lens measures approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points. When folded, the sunglasses measure less than 3.0" in diameter, part of a Dallas, TX estate collection of vintage European designer sunglasses in new old stock mint condition.
