The legendary handmade Alpina M1 sport sunglasses were made in West Germany and first introduced in the 1980s, and they remain one of the most popular brands and styles of any vintage sunglasses today. These white Alpina M1 sunglasses are rare, combining the white frame with the distinctive gold bands and rivets of the M1. Alpina sunglasses like their ski goggles are handmade in Germany, and those marked W. Germany such as these date to the years prior to the reunification of East and West Germany. It's a cool unisex style and size, with frame measuring approximately 5.375" temple to temple and teardrop shaped lens measuring approximately 2.5" x 2.0" at the widest points. Germany along with the serieal number, and the lower bar of the nose bridge is marked 60 [] 12 also etched in the metal.
