Carrera 5587 70 Aviator Sunglasses

1 Vintage Carrera 5587 70 aviator sunglasses are a very unique interpretation of classic aviator sunglasses, but nobody will mistake these Carrera 5587's for early Ray-Ban aviators. The durable Carrera 5587 frame is an eye catching combination of black and yellow, and the gradient blue - green Carrera optyl lenses rival the frame as the star of the show. Optyl was an advanced plastic first used by Carrera in their sunglasses to permit much larger sizes that would have been prohibitively heavy in glass while still retaining excellent optical properties. The unisex Carrera 5587 70 frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 2.125" at the widest points with left lens laser etched Carrera. You'll find the Carrera racing logo embossed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Made in Austria 5587 70 125.
