Vintage Designer Sunglasses only sells authentic vintage Oliver Peoples sunglasses for men and women produced in the 1980's and 1990's - no fakes, reproductions, or retro style sunglasses. In 1986, opticians Dennis and Larry Leight purchased an estate collection of vintage, American-made eyewear including beautifully filigreed rimless and metal frames produced by iconic American companies such as B&L Ray-Ban. The frames were unworn, in mint condition, in their original packaging. Given their love for 1940s - 1960s eyewear, the Leight brothers were inspired to design an authentic collection of classic eyewear for their own gallery. They purchased the lot of vintage sunglasses, which included a receipt signed with the name Oliver Peoples who they believed was the original owner or distributor. When they decided to sell the estate collection later that year in their first optical boutique on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California, it only seemed fitting to use that name in his honor.
